Week after week we order from El Jarro, mostly tacos including Pastor, carnitas, carne asada, all delicious! Also excellent guacamole! Staff is very friendly and helpful, we absolutely love El Jarro!
What a gem! We ducked in for a late lunch during the art and wine festival and had a great meal with attentive service. We each ordered a taco (fish for me and chicken for my friend) and split the mahi mahi salad which was perfectly seasoned and cooked with fresh jicama, mango, avocado and a delicious dressing. Yum! I'm going back for that, and next time I'm not sharing! The chips were fresh, hot, and light as a feather served with a mildly seasoned salsa. We will absolutely return!

Elevated Mexican food. Everything is made to order including chips and salsa (which are an extra charge) We've been dining here for years and it is consistently delicious. Lovely people working here. A Lafayette gem.
My daughter and I went to El Jarro for lunch today. We are not from the area, but we enjoyed it immensely.. I had chicken enchiladas Verdes, which was delicious and my daughter had chicken flautas which she loved. The food was fresh with quality ingredients and yummy. Also, the chips, salsa and guacamole were exceptional very fresh and the chips were thin, crispy Give this place a try you will be glad you did Bon appétit
El jarro is a nice quaint little place in Lafayette. The staff is very friendly and the portions are decent size. The tortillas are fresh, straight out of the oven and they keep fresh vegetables and salsas and chips to accompany your meal. Have to find parking in the back and definitely recommend this place! It's not a large place but they have nice artwork in the back and you feel in a very quiet comfortable setting to enjoy your meal.
